the ocean walker revisited.

I done did it again.
ha, maybe I should pull my strap up.
So I tried the "ocean walker" look again, this time I used my new eye shadow primer from Sally Beauty Supply for only 7.99 and it actually did a really good job and I like the matte finish it gives to my eyes in these photos. P says everyday I do it I get better and better. So I guess Ill eventually look less like a clown. Im sure I still kinda do tho bc I wear this look with anything. Since the colors are blue and green I should probably wear it with those color clothing styles but I love it so much I even wear it with browns and stuff. One day I will get around to making a video on this o so clever clown look :) I also watched this girl on youtube and she told me a really neat trick. Instead of putting eyeshadow on your eye and moving in horizontal motions use vertical motions instead. I did this for both the blue on the bottom and the green on the top. I think this is also why my makeup looked better this time around. So I will def be using that technique from now on. She also said that if you do use horizontal motions your makeup will look boxy at the the ends and now I know why I was having such trouble making my eyes look natural at the edge..

what I did today

Got up and went shopping. Sat on couch watching youtube videos while my dog sat on the arm of my chair. Later around 8 or 830 I will clean.

So Ken's favorite thing to do is sun bathe .. seriously he finds the spots with the most suns and takes a nap. like a fucken cat. P was right .. I dont have a real dog.

So there is a funny tale with this drink. We were at chilis and I usually get their margaritas blended with a flavor added with sugar on the rim. Well, with all the st pattys excitement and everything being green I TOTALLY forgot how i liked my drinks and was like yes, give me the green margarita.. which was a mistake. i ended up having to have the bar tender to add the strawberry flavoring anyways and I put in like 15 packs of sugar. All that wouldnt and still couldnt hide that nasty nasty ass taste of that drink .. esp since the salt slid down into the glass... it was a salty mess. I HATE the taste of alcohol and so yeah. It was a mess.

I dont know how well you can see it in this picture , But I have blue at the bottom and green on top. I also have on mascara. Again, in real life I look better than this clown pasted above what what can you do? I really should have done a fricken you tube on me doing it, but as you know ive yet to clean and you can see my bathroom looking like a damn mess with facial cotton balls thrown all over. However, it is a really cute look i found on Kandee's blog and it seemed so easy in the end I got up (yes, off my couch) and did it. massage bar molds/ soap molds

These are the molds I got for soap. I dont know if you can tell but they say natural and homemade. I dont know why they made the last one no name. I would have liked it to read something like "melissa's homemade lovely soap" :)

I want to make soap and bath bombs...

So I am thinking about buying a bath bomb kit so I can make my very own bath bombs. The kit isnt so much and I could make tons.. and even sell some.
I also wanted to learn how to make my own soap, massage bars, and solid lotions. I went to micheals to see all the goodies they sold.
I want to hopefully make soap that looks like this. I also want to make soap that looks like cupcakes, sushi, and mashed potatoes..
This is just a picture of the orange piece by itself. I have seen people online do this without kits, but I think if I did it it would look really messed up. So I was glad that they sold kits.
This is kinda cool kit as well. I dont really think I need a kit to make sugar scrubs.. just alot of sugar and really neat containers.
This is the is soap orange kit. I think I will also use pink dye and grapefruit oil and make grapefruit piece soaps as well
these are some of the scents they have especially for soap, but since they are so small I will have to look online to find bigger containers that cost a bit less.
These are the molds for soaps, solid lotions, and bath melts. I couldnt find any with bumps and I looked all over from micheals, walmart, and thought about going to target but was too tired.
These are just more pictures of the scents I can get. I was honestly thinking about starting a business and making my own soaps, lotions, bath bombs, ect. But I dont know that seems like such a big deal. Id really like a kiosk in a mall though. I think that would be nice. I know tons of people who are selling their wears online, but that seems like a huge step as well. I think I might just buy stuff and forget about it. lol.

my day in pictures #1

I actually started out my day early (1230pm!!!) and decided to make myself a smoothie. On the bottom is yogurt and in the middle is fruit juice topped with ice and frozen fruit.
Mix it all up and this is what you get !its actually really good, but next time I'm going to add a bit of honey to make it sweeter.
Then for the rest of the day I sat on the cough and watched Californication. My couch felt FANTASTIC.. and im glad I got netflix. But then my friend text me and wanted me to accompany her to get her hair done and dinner.
She is getting pretty pretty bangs. :) I would actually like to get my hair dyed the way the hair dresser has her hair here, but I doubt that would go well with applying for jobs. Plus I would have to get my hair permed bc a multi colored afro is just well... clownish..

Well, okay I look like farmer dan but I have good reason for it. I just rolled off the couch and went out. I was actually happy I went out though because it was such a lovely day today. I havent felt this good outside in a long time and Im sure its because all that vitamin D from the sun was sinking in my skin and making me o so happy. You cant see it but in this picture under my farmer dan shirt I am actually still wearing my pjs !! Yep, folks I am THAT lazy. anyhoo Im glad I came out. All and all it was a good day.

Lets Get Physical ... Or not..

So today I was at the gym 10 minutes into a really good workout that was supposed to last me 60 minutes when I got urgent texts for P and since his phone is down I had to rush home only to find out I could have stayed at the gym. So since P was having a bad day I decided that it would be a good idea to have a family outing and walk around for a bit. We walked for a good hour I would like to say before returning home. Ken really enjoyed it and was having a blast smelling other dog's poops. That seriously made me want to throw up so I called it quits around the one hour mark. All in all it was a good day holding hands with my honey and seeing my dog so excited.

Upon returning home I thought it would be fitting to wash up with my HIWTK's soap and was DELIGHTED at how soft my skin was and how it smelled so good while I was washing up with it. Even P felt my arm after the bath (mind you I didn't even wear any lotion) and was like that is amazing. I cut my original chunk into a smaller chunk and I'm happy I did that. It will help me stretch it a bit more and you don't really need that much. Just some warm water and a nice loufa. I feel sooooo amazing.

Sephora.. how I love thee

So Yesterday I went to Sephora. They had some really good sales on So I decided to pick up some things. I got Urban Decay shadow primer (small $8) and a facial wash for women of color.($9)So this is my face with black over and black under. I also put on a shimmery eye shadow in night owl (not shown today, but I'll take photos later) This is my attempt to make a black eye pretty look. In person it actually looked nice unlike it is presented here, but I am getting a better camera so my eye should look better soon when I take pics.
Here I have opened up my eye a little bit more so you can see more of the color. Like I said before I need to (and will soon) get a better camera so that you can actually see how pretty my face looks. I actually got compliments on this makeup look I did (not like you can tell from here)
Okay, This is the makeup set I bought from Sephora like two weeks ago. My boobies were in this one and I thought it was kidna funny. :P
Alright, make up with no boobs! On the left there are lip glosses, in the middle eye shadows, and on the right there is a bronzer. So far I have only used two shadows the blue and the green. They look pretty good on my eyes, but I think they would have shown up better if I had better cleaner brushes. So next time I'm going to try that.

This is my facial wash for women of color. It's specially formulated to brighten my skin and reduce marks from acne as well as prevent acne. So far I have used it once and my face felt like silk so I am def going to by another one plus I might get the serum they have as well. Right now at my Sephora they are half off so it only cost me $9.
THIS IS MY BABY. I finally got the Urban Decay eye shadow primer. You can see how small it was, but it only cost $8 !!!! EVERYONE I have seen on the youtube videos uses this for their eyes, and my friend says that it makes the color last longer as well as make whatever color you are using seem that much brighter.
This is just another picture so you can see the size, but there is a decent amount inside and since its sister is $18 I think it's a good deal so I can try it out.
This is the outside of my black shadow (also known as the source of my 'black eye' days)
I don't know how well you can see it but there are two colors inside I use the one on the right the most. It is a darker black. The one on the left is lighter and has more sparklys.
This is my set of mascara. I bought this about two weeks back as well. It has 8 mascaras and they each do something different. It is a sample set of all the most popular ones Sephora sells. There is one with vitamins for your lashes, one that lengthens, one that helps them grow out etc. So far I have only used BAD GIRL LASH and like I said before it's not so bad. It doesn't lengthen my lashes so I really don't like that.
These are just all of them together. :) Soon Ill be getting my camera and will take better pictures of my new eye styles.
